How do you take care of your jewellery?
I have to admit I've not always been as careful as I could have been in the past and regretted it as well. Losing pieces I didn't store safely, a piece tarnishing a lot quicker than I thought or pieces that needed a good dusting before I could wear them.
I should and do know better and it's not so difficult. That's why with every piece you order you receive a care card with tips on how to take care of your jewellery. You also receive a small cleaning cloth to keep your jewellery as shiny as when you first received it.
Some easy and simple tips are:
Take off any jewellery when you have a shower / bath or do the washing up or put on perfume or lotion. And it's especially important now we use more hand sanitiser and hand crème. The products we use can tarnish and damage jewellery and gemstones.
Also take off your jewellery when you are going to get into an activity that could knock or damage your jewellery
Store your jewellery separately to make sure you don't knock or scratch them. Store them in a secure spot, so you don't lose any pieces. And make sure you store them in a container that doesn't speed up the tarnishing process. Special tabs are available to put in your container to slow the tarnishing process down.
Use a cleaning cloth to get rid of any tarnishing and make your jewellery look as good as new. And make sure you avoid rubbing any gemstones, you may end up scratching them.
